For general D2L questions, email the eLearning department at or call 303.914.6702 from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. M-F.  You can also visit our office at the Lakewood campus in room 1659, for in-person assistance with D2L, D2L tutoring, and helpful tips.

D2L Student Orientations

The D2L Student Orientation will review accessing Desire2Learn (D2L), finding courses, and using various tools.  Attendees will explore discussions, quizzes, the dropbox, email, content, D2L gradebook and best practices to be successful. The orientation is designed for students who are new to D2L at Red Rocks Community College or students who are in need of a refresher. Check the D2L Student Orientations page to find upcoming on-campus orientation sessions. 

D2L Self-Paced Online Orientation

The D2L Self-Paced Online Orientation includes everything in the on-campus orientation but is completely online and available anytime.  You can watch video tutorials, ask questions, download helpful documentation on using D2L tools, and review resources guides on how to be a successful online student.  To access the online course visit our D2L Self-Paced Online Orientation webpage for directions.

In-Person D2L Student Tutoring Available

Do you have questions about D2L?  We have answers! The Lakewood Learning Commons has walk-in Desire2Learn (D2L) tutoring available for students. 

The tutors can answer questions like:

  • How do I submit my homework to the D2L drop-box?
  • What are the steps to post in a discussion thread?
  • How do I send my Instructor an email in D2L?
  • How do I take a quiz in D2L?
  • As well as other questions related to the tools and features in D2L.

The walk-in tutoring schedule is available on the Lakewood walk-in tutoring page. The schedule is under “T” for tutoring. 

Note:  You can always contact the 24 x 7 help desk for questions on using D2L if you are unable to make the walk-in Learning Commons hours.
