History and Humanities at Red Rocks Community College

The Department of History and Humanities offers courses leading to an Associates of Arts Degree, which provides the first two years of course work towards a Bachelor of Arts.  It includes anthropology, geography, history, humanities, and philosophy.

We offer a variety of degrees and certificates, including the Associate of Arts degrees with emphases in History, Humanities, and Philosophy. We also offer courses in anthropology and geography. All of these degrees and courses are designed to transfer to Colorado's public four-year colleges and universities.

Our department adopts a multi-faceted approach to student learning. In addition to providing students an opportunity to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills they need to fulfill job requirements, we offer them the knowledge and skills needed to both enrich the quality of their personal lives and to enable them to become responsible citizens in America's participative democracy.

The History and Humanities department is located at the Lakewood campus. We are always available during regular business hours. Call 303.914.6707 for an appointment.
